State Impact Center, state attorneys general to release new report on key legal victories that kept Trump administration’s harmful energy and environmental policies from taking root.

The State Energy & Environmental Impact Center, joined by Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey and Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, will release a new report this Thursday on the success of efforts by state attorneys general over the past four years to prevent major elements of the Trump administration’s harmful energy and environmental deregulatory agenda from taking root.

The report will be released following a press conference this Thursday, Jan. 14, at 1:00pm ET.

The report highlights a selection of actions within into two broad categories: defensive and affirmative. The first category focuses on actions by state AGs in federal agency rulemaking processes and in the courts that prevented the Trump administration from cementing its retrograde climate and energy policies and reversing regulatory protections for our nation’s air, waters, wildlife, public lands and public health. The second category highlights efforts by state AGs to advance their affirmative priorities, using the wide range of legal tools at their disposal, to build a cleaner, healthier, more just world for future generations.
