Every day, customers vote with their dollars, and businesses make commitments to sustainability, more robust diversity, equity, and justice practices, and climate action. Ideally, these policies and practices – often encompassing issues such as human rights and sustainability – would be held to a reliable standard. All this is encompassed by the acronym ESG.
This report looks at AG policy wins from the past year; reviews federal rulemaking progress during the Biden administration so far; and examines the importance of and obstacles to public input, as well as the role AGs can play in facing those challenges.

Jasmine Elbekraoui has a background in environmental science with an interest in environmental policy and research. Prior to joining the Center she worked for a student advocacy group, and played a crucial role in advocating for various campaigns and teaching college students how to be effective advocates in their community. At the Center, Jasmine works with the communication and operations team and assist with day-to-day tasks.
