Wisconsin AG Reached Settlement with Milling and Ethanol Companies over Air Pollution Violations

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul announced a proposed $940,000 settlement with two companies to resolve allegations of air pollution control permit violations at the companies’ corn milling and ethanol production facilities. According to the complaint, the companies—Didion Milling, Inc. and Didion Ethanol, LLC—committed 31 total air permit violations, “including failure to control emissions, detect leaks, inspect equipment, keep accurate records, monitor control devices, and report emissions.” The settlement was sent to the Joint Committee on Finance for approval.
