District of Columbia AG Sues and Later Secures Settlement with Waste Hauling Company

In July 2018, District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine filed a complaint against Miss Dallas Trucking, LLC, a waste hauling company that refused to clean up 900 gallons of automotive fluid that spilled into a stormwater system.
In November 2021, AG Racine announced that his office had reached a settlement. The company will pay more than $80,000 to cover the cost of the city’s clean-up as well as a penalty for violating local water pollution laws.
