Washington AG Threatened Litigation Over Washington’s Inclusion in Offshore Drilling Plan

Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson sent a letter to Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke opposing the Trump administration’s plan “to allow oil and gas drilling off Washington’s coast” and requesting that the state be exempted from the plan. In his letter, AG Ferguson also warns that he will file a lawsuit against the Interior Department if his state is not exempted.
