Thirteen AGs Urged Congress to Reject Proposed Cuts to EPA Budget

A coalition of 13 attorneys general sent a letter to congressional appropriators expressing their opposition to the White House’s proposed cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) budget for Fiscal Year 2018. The budget proposal would “cut 31 percent from the EPA’s budget, which is the biggest cut of any federal agency in the White House 2018 budget.”
