Rhode Island AG Filed Illegal Dumping Charges against Construction Firm

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha announced illegal dumping charges against a construction firm and superintendent working on a highway construction project. According to the complaint, the company used hazardous materials at the highway construction project, including 1,114 tons of known contaminated soil and 3,460 tons of known contaminated stone. The suit also alleged that the superintendent of the project provided false reports to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation “to hide the fact that the [materials were] contaminated.”
