Ohio AG Secured $1.5 Million in Illegal Recycling Settlement

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced that his office had secured a settlement with Baumann’s Recycling Center to resolve a lawsuit against the company for environmental violations. AG Yost sued the company in 2019 for operating an illegal landfill after an investigation by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency revealed that the company was depositing waste into a landfill on its property rather than recycling it. Under the settlement, the company must pay $1.5 million and take steps to remediate the violations.
