Ohio AG Reached Settlement with Steel Mill over Air Pollution Violations

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost reached an agreement with Republic Steel to settle allegations that the company violated air permits for its steel mill. The company will be required to shut down the site, pay the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency $60,000 to fund future air monitoring, and pay $300,000 to the city the mill is located in to fund a project that will benefit community members who were most impacted by the illegal emissions.
