Ohio AG Announced Sentencing for Oil and Gas Well Company over Illegal Pollution

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced sentencing for Altier Brothers Inc., an oil and gas well company, and its owner for improper disposal of wastewater, including fabrication of disposal tickets that he submitted to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources so that he could be “reimbursed” for disposal fees that he did not actually pay. A judge sentenced the owner to 30 days in jail, community service, and community control time, as well as restitution payments and fines.
