New York AG Announced the Shut Down of Demolition Debris Processing Facility

New York Attorney General Letitia James, along with the Department of Environmental Conservation, announced a court-ordered agreement to shut down Battaglia Demolition Inc, a construction and demolition debris processing facility. The companies allegedly created harmful conditions in the nearby neighborhood. The agreement resolved a lawsuit against the company for illegally operating the solid waste facility without required state environmental permits. The agreement also required the company to pay up to $1,050,000 in penalties.
