New Jersey AG Sued Recycling Facility over Illegal Dumping

New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal, along with the Department of Environmental Protection, filed a lawsuit against owners and operators affiliated with allegations of illegal dumping at a recycling facility in Cumberland County owned by Deerfield Organics, Inc. The lawsuit sought compliance with previous consent order terms, as well as correction of Solid Waste Management Act and Water Pollution Control Act violations and payment of penalties. This action was part of a tranche of lawsuits taken as part of the New Jersey AG Office’s environmental justice initiative.
