New Jersey AG Sued Recycling Company over Contaminated Stormwater Runoff
OCTOBER 8, 2021
Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck, along with the Department of Environmental Protection, filed a lawsuit against Pace Glass, Inc., for allegedly operating an illegal solid waste facility at two different properties in Jersey City, resulting in contaminated stormwater run-off. The lawsuit sought “court order directing Pace and other defendants to remove the piles of crushed glass, remediate contamination at the sites, and to pay DEP penalties.” This action was part of a tranche of lawsuits taken as part of the New Jersey AG Office’s environmental justice initiative.
