New Jersey AG Sued Owner of Former Gas Station Site over Environmental Violations

Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck, along with the Department of Environmental Protection, filed a lawsuit against AAR Fuel, LLC and its owner over various environmental violations related to its property that formerly served as a Gulf Oil-Delta gas station. The lawsuit sought “to compel defendants to remove the out of service tanks, investigate and remediate all contamination at the site, pay civil penalties, and reimburse the State’s costs.” This action was part of a tranche of lawsuits taken as part of the New Jersey AG Office’s environmental justice initiative.
