New Jersey AG Secured Charges for Sewage Dumping

Acting New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin announced the indictment of an individual on charges of illegally dumping sewage waste into a state lake. According to the investigation, the man had collected hundreds of gallons of sewage from residences and discharged the septic waste into a storm drain that led to a nearby lake, potentially for profit. The charges could lead to up to six and half years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines.
