New Jersey AG Filed Lawsuit over Illegal Dumping of Solid Waste

New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal, along with the Department of Environmental Protection, filed a lawsuit the previous and current owners of 260-268 Chestnut Street in Camden over allegations of illegal disposal of solid waste, scrap metals, and other dangerous materials at the property. The lawsuit sought “the removal and proper disposal of all solid waste at the property” as well as payment of penalties. This action was part of a tranche of lawsuits taken as part of the New Jersey AG Office’s environmental justice initiative.
