New Jersey AG Filed Lawsuit to Compel City of Trenton and Trenton Water Works to Protect Water Supply from Contamination

New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal filed a lawsuit against the City of Trenton and Trenton Water Works, the city’s water utility, over their failure to implement necessary improvements to the city’s water infrastructure to reduce lead contamination and address other health concerns. The lawsuit seeks to compel the City of Trenton and Trenton Water Works to replace lead service lines, to take measures to protect the city’s potable water reservoir from contamination and to “complete certain requirements related to system integrity, maintenance, and resiliency.”
