New Jersey AG Filed Lawsuit against Manufacturer for Failing to Cleanup Contamination

Acting New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin, along with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), filed a lawsuit against S. Burger Wire and Tubing, Inc., a manufacturing company, for contaminating soil and groundwater at its industrial property in Middlesex Borough and for failing to comply with a remediation agreement with DEP. The lawsuit sought cleanup and compliance with DEP’s previous directives. This action was part of a tranche of lawsuits taken as part of the New Jersey AG Office’s environmental justice initiative.
