New Jersey AG Announced Resolution of Four Lawsuits and Six New Enforcement Actions to Protect Environmental Justice Communities

New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin, along with the Department of Environmental Protection, announced the resolution of four environmental justice lawsuits as well as six new environmental justice enforcement actions. The resolved lawsuits—filed against M.J. & Sons, Fillit, Blueberry Bill Farms, and Monk’s Amoco—all addressed instances of illegal dumping that resulted in pollution of overburdened communities. The enforcement actions—taken against Canrad Hanovia, Martin Service Center Corp., 304 Main Street, Zebs Auto Service & Detailing, Inc, John Street Commons LLC, and Sparkle Cleaners—include various actions to hold commercial and industrial polluters accountable.
