New Hampshire AG Reached Settlement with Marina over Fuel Line Damage
SEPTEMBER 7, 2023
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella reached a settlement with a marina over its violation of the Underground Storage Tank Act. According to the state’s petition, the operators of Lakeport Landing Marina severed a fuel line in 2021, failed to adequately notify the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, attempted and failed to repair the line themselves, continued dispensing fuel from the line, and later interfered with the Department’s investigation of the damage. Under the settlement, the owner was required to pay $100,000 in penalties.
