New Hampshire AG Announced Indictment of Contractor Falsely Claiming to Be Certified in Asbestos Abatement

New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella announced the indictment of a fraudulent contractor falsely claiming to be certified in asbestos abatement. According to the charges, the contractor would falsely claim that he had sent samples to a lab to be tested for asbestos, and then claim that he was certified by the state to abate the asbestos after telling customers that the samples had tested positive for asbestos. Grand juries in two different counties each indicted the contractor with two class A felony charges of attempted theft by deception.
