Nevada AG Fought to Protect State from Nuclear Waste Dumping

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford announced his office’s intention to terminate the use of Yucca Mountain for nuclear waste storage. Prior to the announcement, there was a stay on licensing proceedings for the project due to ongoing litigation. The AG filed a motion to lift the stay so that his office can request that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission deny the pending license application.
