Michigan AG Sued Metalwork Company for PFAS Contamination

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel filed a lawsuit against a metal company for contaminating soil, groundwater, and drinking water with forever chemicals and hazardous substances near Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. The company had been operating in the region since 1893, and failed to address the contamination despite warnings from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. The lawsuit sought civil fines and immediate compliance with state environmental regulations.
