Michigan AG Secured a Civil Fine and Restoration of Macomb County Wetlands

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel filed a complaint against MJC Land Investments LLC, MJC Providence Estates LLC, Michael Chirco, Michele Chirco and Mario Izzi for allegedly clearing, grading and filling 8.97 acres of wetland that violated wetland protection laws.

In August 2022, AG Nessel announced that a settlement had been reached, including $350,000 civil fine for illegally destroying natural resources in Macomb County Wetlands.
