Michigan AG Held Utility Company Accountable and Saved Ratepayers Additional $28 Million

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel advocated for ratepayers in a case against Consumers Energy Company, ultimately saving customers an additional $28 million. The utility company submitted plans to reduce costs by less than $1 million, but the AG advocated before the Michigan Public Service Commission, and was able to secure a settlement, resulting in the additional $28 million in savings.
