Michigan AG Held Contractor Accountable for Asbestos Violations

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that three company vehicles had been seized from Metropolitan Environmental, LLC after the corporation and its owner, Lamar Grace, failed to pay a civil monetary judgment for improperly handling and disposing of materials containing asbestos and other hazardous substances. “My office is committed to enforcing our State’s environmental protections, especially when violations endanger the health and safety of our neighborhoods or communities. When we appeal to the Courts for accountability, we do so prepared to take all necessary steps to secure appropriate justice, including property seizures,” AG Nessel said in a statement.
