Massachusetts AG Sued Firefighting Foam Manufacturer for Use of PFAS

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey announced that she sued 13 manufacturers of firefighting foam that contained per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The suit allegeed that PFAS from the foam contaminated drinking water and other natural resources, causing monetary damages and threats to public health across the state. The AG sought costs to clean up, treat, and monitor areas affected by PFAS contamination.
