Massachusetts AG Sent Letter Emphasizing Importance of Equitable, Transparent Transmission Investments

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell joined the Consumer Advocates of New England in sending a letter to ISO New England voicing concern about proposed projects by the New England Transmission Owners that would put costs of transmission upgrades on ratepayers without offering an opportunity for stakeholder feedback or providing transparency about the process. Given the importance of transmission investments, the letter explained that careful consideration is needed to prioritize resources that will support a “uniform, holistic, and transparent transmission planning process.”
