Massachusetts AG Secured Settlement Over Illegal Discharges of Polluted Stormwater

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey secured settlements with two companies over unpermitted discharges of polluted stormwater in violation of the Clean Water Act. Under the terms of the settlements, the companies will pay a total of $130,000 to local watershed associations to address the impacts of the violations and improve water quality in the vicinity of the facilities at issue. The cases were initiated as part of the office’s Federal Clean Water and Clean Air Enforcement Initiative, within the office’s Environmental Protection Division.
