Massachusetts AG Reached Settlement with Industrial Facilities over Illegal Stormwater Discharges

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell announced settlements with FBS Tire Recycling, Inc., a tire recycling facility, and Nantucket Pavers, Inc., a concrete products manufacturing facility, over violations of the federal Clean Water Act. According to the AG’s allegations, the facilities illegally discharged stormwater into local waters. Under the settlements, the companies will pay $200,000 total, much of which was designated to be spent on projects to improve local water quality.
