Massachusetts AG Filed Comments Detailing Potential Harms of Offshore Drilling

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey filed comments opposing the Interior Department’s “ ‘ill-advised’ proposal to allow offshore oil and gas drilling along the Massachusetts coast as part of a national program.” In her comments, AG Healey also said “her office will consider a legal challenge if necessary to protect the people, economy, and natural resources of Massachusetts from the grave risks posed by unprecedented oil and gas leasing.”
