Maryland AG Filed Lawsuit against Television Tower Owner for Lead Paint Violations

Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown, along with the Maryland Department of the Environment, filed a lawsuit against Television Tower, Inc. for failing to properly contain lead paint during work on its television tower, resulting in “lead paint chips raining down o the surrounding communities,” including underserved neighborhoods. The lead contaminated facilities such as daycare centers, playgrounds, parks, athletic fields, and residences. The lawsuit seeks financial penalties, and for the company to contain the tower to prevent further contamination, clean up existing contamination, and notify affected communities.
