Maryland AG Filed Lawsuit against Baltimore for Polluting State Waters

Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh filed a lawsuit against Baltimore City for polluting state waters through its mismanagement of Maryland’s two largest wastewater treatment plants. The complaint alleged that the facilities discharged illegal levels of pollutants such as E. coli and total suspended solids, and that the city failed to comply with various testing, reporting, maintenance, and operating requirements.
