Maryland AG Announced Environmental Enforcement as Legislative Priority for 2024

Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown released a list of legislative priorities for the 2024 General Assembly session. The first priority was to increase fairness in the way environmental and civil public welfare violators are held accountable by “adjusting current law to hold corporations accountable in proportion to the actual amount of environmental, health, safety, or other public welfare harm that they cause.”
