Florida AG Sued Manufacturers for Use of PFAS in Firefighting Foam
APRIL 15, 2022
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody filed a complaint against 13 companies involved in the manufacturing and distribution of firefighting foam that contained per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) for harming the environment and jeopardizing public health. The AG argued that the companies “knew or should have known” the dangers their products posed, and sought recovery of costs the state has incurred investigating and addressing the contamination.
