Five AGs Sent Reply Comments to FERC on Transmission Planning

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong, along with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the Connecticut Office of Consumer Counsel, led a coalition of five attorneys general and several other state agencies in submitting a second set of reply comments to FERC on the agency’s notice of proposed rulemaking on “Building for the Future Through Electric Regional Transmission Planning and Cost Allocation and Generator Interconnection.” In the reply comments, the coalition urged FERC not to reinstate the proposed federal rights of first refusal (ROFR), pushing back against initial comments submitted by other parties.
