Eleven AGs Call for Inclusive and Equitable Transmission Planning

A coalition of eleven attorneys general filed comments in response to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) advance notice of proposed rulemaking on transmission planning. The coalition emphasized the importance of protecting ratepayers and urged FERC to make their planning process more equitable and holistic as they ensure the resilience of both the existing system and of new infrastructure. Massachusetts AG Maura Healey also filed individual comments highlighting the need for more forward-looking transmission planning for renewables.
