District of Columbia AG Filed Testimony Opposing Plan by Pepco that Lacked Climate Measures
JANUARY 12, 2024
Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb’s office filed testimony opposing a request by Exelon’s Potomac Electric Power Co., or Pepco, asking the District of Columbia’s Public Service Commission to approve a multi-year rate plan for electric distribution service. The AG’s office urged the Commission to reject the request, which the AGO described as a “business as usual capital plan masquerading as a ‘climate ready pathway,’ ” without actually advancing the District’s climate or clean energy goals or providing any public benefit.
