Connecticut Files Lawsuit against Solar Company for Deceptive Marketing Practices

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong filed a lawsuit against Vision Solar for using deceptive marketing tactics, including “predatory high-pressure sales tactics, misrepresentations about financing and tax credits, and unpermitted work that left homeowners saddled with nonfunctioning systems and unaffordable loans.” The AG’s office investigated the company after receiving numerous complaints, and found that the company’s employees had taken advantage of elderly and disabled consumers in order to make a profit. In the press release announcing the lawsuit, the AG also shared facts correcting misinformation and warning against common scams around rooftop solar.
