Connecticut AG Released Statement on Utility’s Rate Hike Request

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong released a statement regarding a request by United Illuminating to raise rates as much as 8 percent over three years. New rates would take effect after September 2023. The AG announced his intent to intervene and urged the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to protect ratepayers.
