Colorado AG Sent Letter Warning AmeriGas of Potential Consumer Protection Violations

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser sent a letter to AmeriGas regarding a number of consumer complaints about the company’s failure to service its customers’ propane tanks. The AG warned the company that its actions may be in violation of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act. “Many Coloradans rely on propane as their primary source of fuel for heating their homes. Reliable access to propane is essential, especially during this winter when we have had record cold temperatures in the state,” said AG Weiser. “By denying their consumers’ access to propane, AmeriGas is endangering Coloradans across the state. The company needs to deliver on their commitments to their Colorado consumers.”
