Colorado AG Reached Settlement with Trucking Company for Gasoline Spill

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser’s office reached a $245,000 settlement with MTY Trucking, LLC over an 2021 incident in which a truck driving on a highway rolled over and spilled around 2,000 gallons of gasoline into a nearby creek. The AG’s office made a natural resource damage claim under the federal Oil Pollution Act. Under the settlement, the company was also required to pay $18,000 to the federal government.
