California AG Issued Guidance on EJ in Local Land Use Planning

California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued guidance to local governments on how to prioritize environmental justice in land use planning, as required by a Senate bill passed in 2016. The guidance includes best practices, resources, and tools on topics including community engagement; reduction of pollution-related health impacts; and development of policies to facilitate safe living conditions, access to public green spaces and amenities, and access to healthy food. It also includes over 120 real-world examples of policies from across the state.
