California AG Issued Guidance for Local Governments on Mitigating Wildfire Risk

California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued guidance for local governments on best practices and mitigation measures when considering whether to approve proposed developments in areas that have high levels of wildfire risk. The guidance is meant to “help local governments design development projects in a way that minimizes impacts to wildfire ignition, emergency access, and evacuation, and protect California’s residents and the environment.”
