California AG Filed Lawsuit against DHS Over Environmental Concerns Related to Border Wall Construction

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) alleging that the department’s actions related to the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border “violated the U.S. Constitution, failed to comply with federal and state environmental laws, and relied on a federal statute that does not authorize the proposed projects.”
