California AG Reached Settlement with Gas Station Owners & Operators over Environmental Violations

California Attorney General Rob Bonta and five district attorneys reached a $1.7 million settlement with five owners and operators of gas stations for violating environmental laws. According to an investigation by the AG’s office, the companies repeatedly failed to “properly maintain, install, implement, and operate various spill prevention and safety measures since at least 2013” at 14 different gas stations.
