Arizona AG Filed Lawsuit Against Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler AG Over Diesel Emissions Scheme

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich filed a consumer fraud lawsuit against Mercedes-Benz USA and its parent company Daimler AG regarding the company’s marketing of its BlueTEC vehicles. AG Brnovich’s lawsuit alleges that the German automaker used a “defeat device” allowing its vehicles to pass computer tests for emission limits, while the vehicles’ on-the-road emissions far exceeded those limits.
