Three AGs Pressed EPA to Tighten Smog-Causing NOx Standards

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong, New Jersey Acting Attorney General Andrew Bruck, and New York Attorney General Letitia James sent a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency insisting that the agency tighten the restrictions on the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) emitted by heavy-duty trucks. The tri-state coalition argued that the stronger proposed standards are not only long overdue but critically important to reducing a threat to public health, especially in communities already overburdened by pollution.
