NOVEMBER 30, 2021
Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey submitted reply comments in response to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) advance notice of proposed rulemaking, “Building for the Future Through Electric Regional Transmission Planning and Cost.” The comments agreed with FERC’s decision to overhaul the nation’s transmission system to adapt to modern needs, and stressed that all considerations for transmission planning should not prevent transparency and competition that could result in discriminatory practices and hurt consumers.
