Wisconsin AG Secured Settlement with Rolling Hills Dairy Farm over Unlawful Wastewater Discharges

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul secured a settlement with Rolling Hills Dairy Farm, LLC, a dairy farm located in Luxemberg, WI, over violations of the facility’s Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) permit. The violations involved discharges of wastewater containing high concentrations of phosphorus and other pollutants from the farm’s feed storage area into a nearby waterway. Under the terms of the settlement, the company will be required to construct wastewater runoff control systems to prevent future violations, and pay $144,000 in penalties and fees.
